3-D Window Card

Good Morning All

Hope everyone is having a great week.  Boy, I tell yea, last week was a total disaster for me as far as creating a card.  My best friend's daughter (the one I made the tea party card for) also invited me to her party.  I had this great idea, but everything I touched (trying to make it) turned to...well let's just say "very brown"...lol  Needless to say, I didn't get one finished for her. We did find out she is having a little boy, and I have 5 months to get it done.

This card came together fairly easy.  I had a few bumps, but managed to get it done.  It's a card that for my mother's doctor.  She had a total hop replacement, and this guy did a fabulous job, so she wanted a thank you card with flowers.  I got my inspiration from one of my new favorite blogs (Kittie Kraft).  She does some amazing 3-D cards, and although I couldn't do the tiny winy flowers like she does (not yet anyway), I managed to come up with something I was fairly happy with.

The window was cut out using my cameo, and although you probably can't see it, I added some molding around the window with my score board.  The flowers came from Beary Wishes (I love that place), and the papers were from my scrap folders, so I don't know where they came from.  I used both promarkers and copics on the flowers, and that's about it.

Teapot Shaped Card

It Warms My Heart

Hey everybody!  Hope it's a great day for you.  I'm lov'n this Florida weather today.  It's a gorgeous day, and is suppose to get up to the mid 70's.

Ok, so on to my card.  This card was made for my most specialist friend, for her to give to her daughter, and I have to tell you I created quite the challenge for myself.  The card had to have these 3 elements; a teapot, tiffany blue, and is for a baby reveal.  Her daughter loves tea parties and tiffany blue, and is having a little get together to share her "ultrasound" image of her baby.

I probably would have been okay had I not asked what her favorite color is...lol  At any rate, I enjoyed seeing it come together (after awhile...lol), and here's what we have.

The flower stamp is from Beary Wishes.  I just found them, and you should stop by, she has some really cute stamps.  I used my new Cameo Silhouette for the teapot shape, cutting around the roses, and my little heart.  I made the little rose bouquet spray from scratch, and this time I used all Copics.

Bugs & Kisses

Hey everybody,

It's hard to believe that I've been away from crafting as long as I have.  I didn't realize how much I had missed it until I started working on this card.  It says in the bible that "we all experience pretty much the same things at some point in our lives", so you all know what it feels like to loose your mojo. I started on this card over a week ago...I know right.  I guess I just had to get those creative gears good and oiled.  Talk about feeling like all thumbs...lol  Plus, my craft room was just in a mess, so I had to get it cleaned first.

Now I did get to buy a new toy (in the process of making this card).  I got a Silhouette Cameo, and I'm just having a blast with it.  I will say that learning the machine and program was part of the reason I took so long on the card, and I have to thank my good friend Karen for helping me.

The image is by Mo Manning, and is call end of summer, and I was inspired to make this design by Kittie Caracciolo and I have to tell you, if you don't visit her blog, you are surely missing out!  This card is nothing compared to her talents, plus she has some pretty amazing tutorials.

Now I realize this is not your typical card for this time of year, but the sweet lady I made this for needed some cheering up, so I wanted to stay with bright and cherry colors.  The Flower (except for the small bud), leaves, card base, and inside matts were all made with the Silhouette Cameo, and the trim on the outside frame was made with a Martha Stewart punch.  The papers and embellishments all came from Michaels.

Last, I have to apologize for my photo shooting.  I never seem to quite get it right, and on this one the yellow is much prettier than the image shows.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I look forward to catching up with all of you.
